Drainage improvements in your area – A41

• We will shortly be carrying out drainage improvements on the A41 (from Standford Bridge Crossroads to Forton Road Roundabout.).

• Works will be completed by Balfour Beatty and specialist sub-contractors Quantum Traffic Management, GN Groundworks & Dyno Rod.

When are we planning to deliver this work?

The work is due to take place on 03/02/25 and be completed by 31/03/25 (weekdays only) weather permitting. The works will be carried out under 24hr 2-way traffic lights, and we will be working between 08:00-17:00.

These works are being delivered as part of the Council’s investment programme to ‘Protect, Care and Invest to create a better borough’. Over the next four years, over £40m is being invested to keep neighbourhoods safe, clean and well connected. The ‘Pride in our Community’ Highways Capital Programme will deliver improvements to infrastructure including roads, footpaths, sustainable transport, road safety, street furniture, drains and structures. Our highways vision is to ‘Keep Telford Moving’ and in 2024/2025 we will invest £9m to deliver a number of improvement schemes across the borough.

Please find attached information that outlines the traffic management arrangements for a temporary road closure along Preston Wappenshall Road Junction To Kynnersley Drive Junction, Preston Upon The Weald Moors. Severn Trent Water are planning to undertake repair and installation works. The work is set to commence on Monday 17th February 2025 and will last for a duration of 2 days with an end date of Tuesday 18th February 2025The diversion route for vehicular traffic travelling in all directions will be signed on site.
